Denise was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. She went to the University of Utah to study ballet, but later changed her major and graduated in Art Education.

After college she visited her sister in Puerto Rico, she stayed, married and had 5 children. Between kids and working part time in the family business she painted watercolors.

Although Denise now lives in Florida, she and her husband are away a lot traveling the world.

Her photos from their travels inspire many of her paintings. Her other great inspiration is from photos of her 8 grandchildren.

Denise now paints in acrylics and oils and belongs to many artist groups.
